I purchased Mi Protect for my mobile Redmi Note 3, from Mi site in which i got insurance from OneAssist ..at Rs 375. My mobile screen was damaged, but luckily it was in working condition, and so i gave my mobile to be repaired to oneassist team , they picked up my mobile on 28th Feb, 2017 and i came to know to that my mobile can’t be repaired so i will get the settlement amount as it went into BER condition, (BER- Beyond Economic Repair, when repair cost exceeds 80% of purchase amount it goes in BER condition..) , my repair estimation cost was 10057.74 , I told them that my mobile is in working condition then why mainboard has to be changed ? they said it’s like that only we gave for inspection to Mi service center and got this bill..(Attached file).. they told me to give the settlement amount (which is (purchase amt– 30% of purchase amt)–750 Rs.) which was 7649 Rs .. I told them i want my mobile back and not the settlement amount. So i got my mobile back after doing , talking everytime BUT the FINGERPRINT SCANNER HARDWARE WAS MISSING , i checked it by dailing the code to check hardwares present in mobile , but fingerprint scanner wasn’t there… And after emailing them i got such a lame reason reply which wasn’t expected from there side at all..(attached screenshot of Email). . I hope next time they work precisely and doesn’t remove hardware which is not required.. Hope my Problem will be solved.
