I have got used to cab drivers declining or not turning up and I haven’t seen any constructive measures taken by Meru or other Cab service providers to curtail this. What has recently caught my attention is the surreptitious way of making money. I had such experience with Meru on 2 occasions.

1. Meru gave me a coupon code SB75YN to be used. But that never worked when I booked my next cab and I was given multiple reasons why that didn’t work (not entered in capital letters etc). After multiple emails and complaints, it worked the next time. I feel these coupon codes are just to entice like the ‘Upto 50% off’ season ending sale which most often doesn’t apply on the merchandise that we want to buy.

2. My Meru booking was changed to Flexi at the last moment and accordingly charged higher rates. Meru is pretty sure that I will not cancel it at the last moment since it is very difficult to get a cab at the last moment.
