My father was diagnosed with a lung neuroendocrine tumor. We did all tests outside and took him to cmc vellore for operation. There he got successfuly operated and doctors said he’s well now and he will have to come for follow-up to ensure he’s fine. After about a year he went for follow-up. By that time he was having digestive problems so we booked appointment with a gastroenterologist as well. Every follow-up test along with liver sonography was done. Doctors said everything is fine. 3 to 4 months after follow-up he started having diarrhoea, we got him examined and he it was seen that cancer metastasizes to his liver pancreas and duodenum with liver lesion being. 2.5 cm dia..Doctors did biopsy and it ks revealed that he is at last stage. We are devastated. We saw the cmc follow-up report… it says in the liver sonography that future chronic liver disease was possible but doctors then said nothing about it.
Who should be responsible now ?
