I am writing this letter on behalf of all the Post Graduate students of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) – Hyderabad, who have completed their examination in July 2015.
It has been nearly 4 months since we have completed our final exams and still haven’t received our passing degree, provisional, transfer certificate and consolidated memorandum of marks from the college.
Many of us are losing jobs since the college has still not arranged to produce our certificates.
I myself have lost two jobs till now since I was not having the certificate to testify my qualifications.
Instead of the certificates, the college is willing to give a letter signed in the name of the principal but unfortunately the letter is not much of value when it comes to securing a job.
There are 117 students who have passed their ME/MTech exams this July out of which 75 of them are waiting for the college management to give us our certificates.
In these competitive times, getting a job is difficult and apparently holding a job is even more difficult if you don’t have the required certificates. I fear that, the longer the CBIT management take to produce our certificates, the worse my job career will be, since every recruiter wants to know the reason for the long gap between the passing date and the current day.
All my meetings and requests with the head of academic and exam cell department Y Krishna Reddy (cell no. 09985082982) hasn’t borne any fruits. I find this attitude of the autonomous management of CBIT to be lathargic and irresponsible despite of holding such a high reputation for being among the top colleges in the state.
I urge the principle and the management of CBIT to kindly give us our certificates as early as possible.
Yours truly,
T Tejas Varma
ME student – CBIT
