Hi,

This is Neeta Sudhakar Joshi.

I was a Home Loan account Holder of Axis Bank, Sangli till 30th Sept’2015. Currently I am a Home Loan account holder of State Bank of India, sangli. My per month EMI amount was Rs.14897/- which was deducting on 10th of every month.

I transferred my Home Loan from Axis Bank to SBI Sangli in the month of Oct’2015. For that purpose I asked Axis Bank to give me the forclosure amount of Home loan till 30th Sept’2015. So that I can transfer my HL to by paying the full home loan amount.Axis Bank informed me the Forclosure amount of Home Loan till 30th Sept’2015 through e-mail which was 15,91,292/-INR.Accordingly I submitted the DD of amount of Rs.15,91,292/-to Axis Bank Sangli on 1st Oct’2015. The Axis bank kolhapur had received the DD on 5th Oct (as per Axis Bank Kolhapur Br is having the authority to sanction & all Home Loan related activities).

I received a call from Ms.Sampada from Axis Bank Kolhapur that she had received a DD of HL forclosure amount. She tried to convinence me & tried to retain me. However all the other processure was almost done, I asked her to deposit the DD on priority & close my HL A/c asap as the next EMI should not be deducted on 10th. She replied even if it will be deducted, it will be refund to you.

After discussion with her, I send her a mail also to close the home loan account & was taking follow up.

In spite of receipt of the demand draft for foreclosure along with letter from State Bank of india -Sangli Branch on 5th Oct 2015, An EMI has been deducted for the month of Oct 2015.on 12-10-2015 & loan account was closed on19-10-2015. In between, I got the SMS from Axis bank that part payment of 15,70000 has been adjusted which was not in sync with the
demand draft of amount 15,91,292 which was for foreclosure of theloan.I feel this transaction is improper, In spite of submitting the demand draft well in advance & number of follow ups (verbal/written),Axisbank has deducted EMI (that to of next month) & then the account has been closed.

The entire delay has happended from Axis Bank & we suffered from paying excess EMI of Rs.14897/-. When we asked Axis Bank to refund our excess deducted EMI they denied to pay it by saying that the Home Loan account was closed on 19th Oct.

We say that when the forclosure amount (Full) amount paid to Axis Bank well in advance, it’s the responsibility of Axis Bank to close the same within time. Even the EMI deducted as per their system, it should be refunded later as they promised.

My request to Consumer Court to approach to the Axis Bank with our complaint details & to refund our amout of Rs.14897/- which is not a small amount. We are ready to submit all the Proofs of our follow up with Axis Bank.

Kindly help up on priority
