This is regarding my connection 9004090084.
A few months back i was incorrectly charged for data usage to which I had filed complaint and had been following up to revert charges. As, suggested by customer representative I visited Airtel gallery and provided required artifacts indicating there was no data usage, called customer support and emailed them multiple times but all in vain. Finally, decided to hold payment until the issue is resolved.
I didn’t make any payment and shortly my connection was suspended, i started getting call from Mr. Ajay on behalf of Airtel for payment calling from Ph: 66115903. I kept requesting him to coordinate at his end and get charges reverted but he expressed his inability to help and continued insisting to make payment. By every call his communication started getting unprofessional and indecent.
A week later, Saturday 12.30 Ajay called me stating he has been able to resolve discrepancy and is ready to waive off 736 Rs. (500 Rs. for incorrect data charges and 236 for monthly rental for duration number was suspended) and I should pay 700 before end of day to activate services if number is to be continued.
Since I was travelling i told Ajay to email waiver confirmation and assured him that will make payment once i am online. He called me again in evening around 5.55PM stating that he cannot email customer directly but assured that he will get number activated if I make the payment and send transaction ID to him on Mob Number: 9987813075. I did accordingly and called Ajay to do as required.
Since then, I tried him multiple times, upon seeing my number he either disconnects the call or puts it on-hold. I could finally reach him today by calling from an alternate number, after sharing details and reminding him about the transaction he disconnected the call saying that his request for waiver has been rejected and he can’t help.
Just wondering about the extent to which service levels have plunged, it’s really disappointing to see Airtel’s insensitivity towards customer issues. My entire family uses Airtel and now am skeptical if should continue. This is not about 700 Rs. or a single connection but the frustration & nuisance caused by Airtel team and it shows organizations commitment, professionalism and willingness to address customer issues.
Leaving it up to Airtel to take appropriate action in this matter. Expecting a positive response.
