I booked my flight with makemytrip.com from Amritsar (IND) to Windsor (Canada) with Booking ID – IN1507B3S008648 for 5th August, 2015 paying the full amount. During the time of the booking they asked me that I can take 3 pc luggage as I am travelling on a student Visa. I still wanted to confirm with them so i wrote a mail to them. After several days, I get a mail from one of their agent Priyanka that I can carry extra 1 pc luggage of 23Kg i.e. in total of 3pc luggage if travelling on a student visa.
On 17th july, 2015, I get a mail stating that my flight has been cancelled and on calling the customer service they responded that the flight has been cancelled by the airlines. Then I called the airlines and they say that it has been cancelled by the agent itself. I have called several times and they kept me waiting on the line and i had to hold for hours. Later, one of their representative said that the flight charges has gone up and i have to pay the rest of the charges. I refused to pay the extra charges as I already paid the charges I was asked at the time of booking. They kept me hanging and I used to be on calls with them for hours everyday and on 23rd july, 2015, they responded that my flight is confirmed again.
But this was not enough. On 25th of july, 2015 I again get a mail that my flight is cancelled. And i had to go through all of the harassment again. Finally, on 27th July, 2015 they provided me with a new e-ticket.
On the day of the flight, I arrived at the airport obviously with 3 pc luggage as makemytrip.com sent me a mail that I can carry 3 pc luggage. When I checked in my luggage, the airline representative refused to take the extra luggage as they were not informed by makemytrip.com. I was so much worried, disappointed and harassed. I called makemytrip.com customer service and they said if I have the mail then I should pay the airlines and i will get the refund later. So I paid INR13,543 for the extra luggage.
Now I have been mailing makemytrip.com to issue a refund and they are not listening.
I had the worst experience with them and i want my refund to be processed soon. I also want a compensation of 20,000 for the mental harassment and torture i have been through.
