Hi, My wife has been a victim of wapvilla_ppd.Vodafone have charged on number 9953703167 49 RS for this and more downloads in October Bill. I have never downloaded the application but they are telling it is downloaded by me. Even though I have whole download and browsing history but they told you have to pay the bill.Too much pathetic vodafone service. Fraud company. The charges for wapvilla has been made on my October bill as well. I have also not used any such service a total of 5 such 49 rupees services have been charged that I have never used.
I have also mailed. No response till now.

Yes, facing same problem. with extra charges of downloads , even there is no data usage mentioned in e bill but they charged 96 Rs. for download in my recent bill. and this is the 3rd time getting this extra amount in bill.
Hi even i face the same issue. I have been charged Rs. 409 last month and Rs. 232 this month again for some wapvilla_ppd download. I had sent mail last month to vodafone customer care, i get a call from an excutive and a reply was a harsh message that it will not waived off. When asked what are those charges and why there has been no intimation either from vodafone or from the site we use no reply, but u have used it and cannot be waived. What sites are those so that we can check if used it, reply – we do not know and have the access,…..and i don’t understand how vodafone is so cheap and charge this way. I have given my number for porting and will be soon changing. This is so unprofessional way of working by vodafone….CAN THIS BE REPORTED TO TRAI OR SOMEWHERE

I am facing the same issue.. I got to know that Rs. 49 was deducted from my phone on 17th October for some wallpaper download and Rs. 99 was deducted from my phone on 14th Nov for some SHOTFORMAT website for music or something which I didn’t even use it or know about it… VODAFONE IS FRAUD!!! They sell customer list to such companies who has higher balance n they deduct such money every now and then n blame customers for it..
SHAME ON VODAFONE…
WE ALL SHOULD FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM IN CONSUMER FORUM..
