I purchased a lehenga outfit on India Emporium after trying to find a reasonable site. I checked facebook and had reasonable clothing.
After placing an order, I was sent a form in which I had to complete my measurements, however about a week later I was informed my purchase was no longer in stock and was given a list of alternatives to choose from. I didn’t like the more expensive alternatives and asked them to cancel my order.
I was told that this had been completed and a refund would take 10 – 15 days time. This was on the 4th April 2014. It is now the 9th may, 2014 and no money was received, I sent an email last week via facebook and was told that this is being actioned and that I would have to wait another week.
I am not the patient person in the world and understand that delays occur, however, with technology a credit can be placed that doesnt take so long so decided to express my views. They no longer respond to my emails and have blocked me on facebook. I can not comment to let other users know.
I do need my money back – am a single parent and having to take care of the aftermath of my father’s death. I would appreciate any advice on how to get the money back – but also to make other users aware of the scheming rats!
The website is poorly designed and I no longer have the online support – Urgently need help.

Hi, I’m currently experiencing the same problem with them. I placed an order last February and had to cancel it myself as it did not arrived (by April they had still not shipped it, nor did they even send the fabric to the tailor, and most items were by then out of stock). I was told to change my order and add other items to replace the out of stock ones. Of course, I asked for a refund. I was then told it would take 10-15 working days. That was a lie. After several attempts I finally got in contact with them via chat. An agent said refund was being processed and it would take another 5 working days. Guess what? Another lie. They do not reply to emails or chat. I do not know whether they are the laziest workers in the whole world or a bunch of thieves. But I do need my money back and I don’t know how to do it either. After such long time and being an international order… I hope we can find a way to get our refund, and would also appreciate any help 🙁

Hi I have exactly the same problem. Placed order Jan 14. Online chat are liars. I also called to find out abt order only to be told it can’t be made. So I cancelled and asked for a refund which was suppose to take 10 to 12days. It’s now a month. Gopika promised twice it will be there in 24 hrs yesterday but nothing. Pls help. Where can we report India empopium to for not refunding my money.
